About Doodlebug
When this tiny kangaroo was found abandoned and weighing just 3.5 pounds, no one knew if he’d survive.
But thanks to the love of a wildlife caretaker named Gillian Abbott—and a teddy bear he wouldn’t let go of—Doodlebug fought his way back to life.
He cuddled it. He kicked it. He treated it like a friend… just like any toddler would.
Years later, that one photo of him hugging his teddy bear would melt hearts around the world.
Now healthy and free to roam the forest, Doodlebug still returns for visits—proof that love and comfort, no matter how small, can change a like
